Little Wildflowers Cooperative Preschool 

Teacher(s) Position(s): September 2026 – June 2027 school year 

Little Wildflowers Cooperative Preschool is now accepting teacher applications for multiple classes. Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply if they can commit to one or more classes for the academic year. In order to ensure all courses have a designated teacher, preference may be given to candidates that can commit to more teaching hours, including candidates who can teach all 3 classes. The classes include:

  • Toddler class (Otters) for ages 9-17 months as of 8/31/26: Friday 10-11:30am
  • Pre3s (Orcas) for ages 1.5-2.5 years as of 8/31/26: Tuesday & Thursday, 9-11am 
  • Pre3s (Chickadees) for ages 2-3years as of 8/31/26: Monday & Wednesday, 9-11:30am 
  • In addition, our school welcomes creative ways to build our program, including potential additional classes and/or a summer camp program.  Final decisions about new program offerings would be made in a collaborative way with the board, parents, and teachers. 

Each month, the teacher also attends the LWCP board meeting and a parent meeting for each class. These are typically held in the evenings either in person or on Zoom. 

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Has an early childhood education background and/or experience in a preschool setting with toddlers through 5 years of age. 
  • Is a compassionate, community-oriented teacher who has anti-bias/culturally responsive teaching skills and experience working with a diverse group of children and parents, preferably in a cooperative classroom setting. 
  • Is adaptable, creative and attentive in working with children and caregivers.
  • Supports emergent curriculum and a robust outdoor program.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with other children’s teachers and the parent educator who works with adults in the school.
